I was born in the Catskill Mountains of New York. As a child, my family lived in five states before settling in California when I was ten; for many years, I called the Sacramento valley home. I met my wife there, and together we raised our two children and built our first home as new parents in the area. Our houses grew as our family did, but we stayed in the same general area. Our home was part of who we were; it was where our children played, where we felt secure, and where we welcomed our friends and families for holidays and celebrations. After 20 years in the trucking and logistics industry, I took a unique opportunity to turn a hobby into a career when I became the Lead Mechanic in a local bike shop. At this time, my wife returned to school to earn her doctorate, which is the reason we landed in Jacksonville, Florida. We moved to Jacksonville when my wife accepted a job as a professor at UNF, and I became the Master Technician in the bike shop in the Jacksonville REI.
I became a REALTOR because I love how the design, form, and function of houses culminate in architecture. Our last house in California was a fixer-upper, built in 1945. I researched its original builder and design in the historical record, research that sparked my interest in homes with character. Here in Jacksonville, I’m a proud resident of Avondale, with its parks and river-accesses. I love the old neighborhoods and have spent countless hours visiting friends and dining in the local restaurants of Riverside/Avondale, San Marco, Ortega, and Springfield. What I love about Jacksonville is the richness of outdoor activities, from kayaking the Inter-Coastal to doing the Gate River Run through the city to watching the Blue Angels perform out at the Beaches. Jacksonville is a wonderful and growing city, offering a variety of homes, lifestyles and activities for everyone, and I’m thrilled to help you find your first house, your next, or investment properties anywhere in the greater Jacksonville area.
